Chromium is an important mineral that contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. Chromium GTF refers to Glucose Tolerance Factor, which is the biologically active form of chromium originally identified in brewer’s yeast. Chromium picolinate is a bio-available form of chromium, meaning it is well absorbed and has been shown to contribute to normal macronutrient metabolism. In this complex, the chromium has been combined with zinc and alpha lipoic acid to create a dietary supplement for nutritional wellbeing.
Zinc is a mineral essential to many body processes including the maintenance of normal cognitive function, vision, fertility and reproduction, hair, skin and nails and the immune system. Zinc also contributes to the normal metabolism of fatty acids and macronutrients.
Alpha lipoic acid is an organic compound that is made naturally in the body and found within every cell. The body makes small amounts of alpha lipoic acid on its own but levels can be increased through diet or supplementation. Alpha lipoic acid is both fat and water soluble, making it easy for the body to utilise.
