Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, essential for many body systems and serves as a building block for living cells. It can be found in eggs and other meat sources. It plays an essential role in supporting your body’s immune system and natural defences.
Vitamin A contributes to normal function of the skin and is particularly utilised during the repair process. It plays a significant role in maintaining healthy vision.
In addition, vitamin A supports normal iron metabolism. It also plays a role in the process of cell specialisation and contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.
Viridian Vitamin A is in the form of retinol acetate, this is easily recognised by the body and quickly converted to retinoic acid. It’s a convenient way to obtain a vegan form of Vitamin A. Retinoic acid is not available from plant sources, therefore vegans are particularly susceptible to being deficient in vitamin A. Unlike food supplements that use retinol palmitate, Viridian Vitamin A is completely palm oil free. A kinder alternative for our planet, whilst delivering the purest and most effective supplements.
