Adaptogen Complex is a potent combination of botanicals which offer nature’s antidote to modern living. Adaptogens are natural substances that help your body adapt to mental and physical stress, optimising your stress response. This nutritionist-formulated supplement contains Siberian ginseng root, damiana leaf, Chinese red ginseng root, yerba mate and suma root.
Chinese Red Ginseng root (Panax ginseng) is the most well-known of all adaptogens and has been used for thousands of years to help promote alertness and counteract fatigue. Siberian Ginseng root (Eleutherococcus senticosus) has been used for over 4000 years to support the immune system, and support mental and physical energy, without either stimulating or sedating. The addition of Damiana leaf (Turnera diffusa) contributes to regulating blood sugar levels, which can often be challenged during times of stress.
Yerba mate (Ilex paraguensa) is a species of holly that is regularly consumed in Brazil and has been shown to have stimulating and tonic properties that contribute to the resistance against mental and physical fatigue. Finally, suma root is another powerful adaptogenic herb that has long been used to increase concentration and make the memory more effective.
