Viridian’s Astaxanthin is a carotenoid sourced from freshwater microalgae (Haematococcus pluvialis), one of the richest sources of natural astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is cultivated using the pristine waters from the Himalayas in an ideal climate which allows the microalgae to flourish without the requirement for any artificial heating or cooling. As well as minimising the environmental impact of production, the exposure to natural sunlight gives this carotenoid its characteristic vivid red colour as the microalgae reacts to UV light.
Astaxanthin is an antioxidant which cannot be produced by the body on its own, and instead comes from food or supplementation. Astaxanthin-rich foods include salmon, lobster and trout. These easy-to-take vegan capsules are a great dietary supplement for anyone looking to increase their intake of astaxanthin.
This vegan supplement is formulated in a base of marigold flower, which is naturally rich in the carotenoids lutein, zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin.
Contains 100% active ingredients formulated by expert nutritionists with no artificial fillers and no nasties. Sourced according to Viridian’s strict ethical criteria including no animal testing, GMO or palm oil.
Just to make you aware we are currently updating our packaging so your supplement may look a little different. Please don’t worry, it’s the same goodness inside.
