Zinc is an essential nutrient for the body, contributing to many functions. It is needed for the normal operation of the immune system, helping the body to fight off pathogens. Zinc is also crucial for the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails, as well as bone strength and normal vision. Foods typically high in zinc include meat, shellfish, dairy foods and wholegrain products. Zinc is not stored by the body, so having a regular intake of this mineral is important. Bound with citric acid to make it easily absorbed by the body, Viridian’s Zinc Citrate capsules are an easy and effective way to increase your intake of this essential nutrient.
This copper free formula is ideal for people who already obtain high levels of copper in their diet or who have a copper imbalance.
Zinc citrate is formulated in a natural wholefood base of spirulina, alfalfa and bilberry and encapsulated into extra-small micro capsules, making them easy to swallow.
